It happened twice to me in my own sporting career, dogs got in way on track or on field. I'm missed a bronze medal at nine or ten years of age in egg and spoon race at local community games (a big deal to a guy of that age). Later we had an important high school football game, and I stumbled while in position of ball in attack. To look up from my position on ground and see a dog run away (it was before cameras like now, but spectators told me after they had enjoyed a good laugh at my expense). So it wasn't so bad. The egg and spoon race did hurt for a while, grandpa I recall produced a bronze medal out of somewhere, and 'made up a story', which I dutifully believed. Rest in peace gramps.

Creme worms are king... Only 1.25$ for a 5 pack of black and blue worms and thats the best worm ive ever used in my 26 years.. everything hit them. I think its because im from Indiana and creme is from Ohio. So they originally were made from guys thats fished my area. Nick creme was on a podcast and told his hole story.. im a huge fan of creme worms.. i bought yhe whole box from Walmart anytime possible.. ill be in my 50s with packs of cremes from now days

I catch more fish on my 1$ creme worms than anything I've ever finished.. I watch young man and old folks argue what is what and what's better when in reality it's just a rubber piece that looks like a worm. . The worst bait in the best casting spot will catch a fish. Put the best bait in a bad casting spot might not catch you anything. At the end of the day it's all perspective who you are where you been what like you're fishing

I just bought a Hank Parker Spinner combo from Walmart for 30 bucks... It's the first pole I've bought since middle school and boy did I need it.. this thang feels like a million bucks in my hands. Great bearing, Nice grip and love the reel feel when reeling in. The rubber grips are so nice.. I'm 26 now and just started fishing heavily again and can't figure out why I stopped when I was 18... I've been on the boat for the past 2 months. Fell out my boat drunk twice. But caught some great Bass in the meantime. The older I get the more I really understand why my grandpa wanted to fish all the time... Isolation, nature, and learning the ecosystem is like a whole new drug you never get burnt out on

We always watched your show back in the day. When I was a kid I put a twist on your song 🎵 Grass needs Mowin, The House Needs Paintin, My Sister Needs a Spankin Gone Fishin🎵😆 My dad still laughs when I sing it to this day 😂

I still use my Smithwick DevilsHorse on the Lumber River in NC and it works great. That bait has been a staple in my family since the 50s I think. Great show I met you in Raleigh NC with my dad and Uncle in 1986ish I was 6 now im 43. You really are an icon to us.

What blows my mind and I don't understand is when you figure out how to catch 3lb class fish, why it wouldn't work on 5lb class fish. In my mind if I catch a 3lber it's because that's what was there and if a 5lbee was there, it would have bit, but that's not always the case.

I enjoyed your shows when I was a young uneducated angler, And still do. But don’t get the constant sell. Your able bodied and should be experienced enough to figure it out. Catching those green panfish isn’t hard, it never was. Their some of the most opportunistic out there. Instead of elevating the industry you guys keep cheapening it with your gimmicks and sells. Your catching anglers and handicapping your natural instincts. For what? Aren’t you validated enough.
